I say it every time, but this year is running away from me and i cannot keep up! Most of the time I don't realise it until Christmas arrives when i look back and wonder how I'm not dizzy! But this year, I'm so aware of how the weeks are flying by! - And I'm not getting enough blogging in!
I'm writing mid-year exams at the moment, after a long and gruelling semester - which is yet to be over! I took subjects like Economics, Statistics and Accounting this year/semester which are not my strengths by any stretch of the imagination. Stats is my real struggle, with an exam looming in 2 weeks, I'm not nearly ready, I have no where else to place my trust but in the Lord, because I'd never pass this on my own! It's been such a challenge, especially when studying on your own, with no lectures or anyone to turn to. But perseverance is the name of the game... I'll keep you posted!
Work, the other half of my life, has been wonderful! I'm still au pairing, every day (each afternoon), for a wonderful family who i have grown to absolutely love! They have been so understanding and generous and just make it so easy for me! I am so grateful for a good, well paying job, as a student (or as anyone, actually!), i have been so blessed, beyond my expectation, and my greatest desire is that i never lose sight of that! All glory to Him!
Being Mothers Day this weekend, we were able to spend some serious quality time with the family again! The Temlett's live literally down the road, as do Kayley and Byron and we still never seem to spend vast amounts of time together, which is so sad. But this Sunday we had a huge braai, Dane and Krystal surprised us from JHB, which was just fabulous and we spent the whole of Sunday together with the Bennison's, the Tem's, ourselves, the Barnard's, the Daly's, Jared, Bevan and Blayze. It was just wonderful! I would not trade my great, enormous (and ever growing) extended family for the world!
I love to blog, I love to write, I love to imagine you reading the poorly strung together words on this page and feel like you're that much closer. Sometimes you get pictures, sometimes you don't, but that's not the point, its that all I would want is to talk over coffee... To my family far and wide who read this, i love you all so much, and miss you everyday. I hope you're well.
'til next time...

Rebecca and Nic tie the knot.
One of my good friends from school got married on the 1st of May this year. It was a gorgeous wedding at a stunning venue in Nottingham Road - the Midlands. She married Nic Kooiker (said quaker) whom she met in Madagascar! Wish the both of you all the happiness in the world!
I took very few pics and uploaded fewer, but here they are anyway!

Easter '10 at LAWA
Easter at the farm has now become the highlight of my year! All the Durbanites traveled up in the HCA bus and met the rest of the family there. Unfortunately not all the family makes it every year, but enough to full the breakfast table every morning! We missed so many of you, dearly! But hear are some pics... we had a ball!
Some of the family...
Some of the family...
Precious, precious Gabriella.
Kay and Bella sharing easter eggs...
So the easter egg hunt is still very important (no matter how young or old) - there were eggs on the roof.
Little Noah, what a cute little guy, i hadn't met him 'til this weekend, and i just love him! Ross and Shan are living in Lothair now as well.
Granny with Sienna and Matt.
Sienna has grown up so much, she's such a little lady and i fell in love with her. Kay customised her eater egg basket - so sweet!
We headed to Cascades one day, to the river and relived old memories (bum slides down the river, fishing, four-wheeler accidents!!)Tuesday, March 30, 2010
Mom's 47th Birthday!
For some reason i cannot get these pics in the right order when i upload! Anyway, we had a lovely dinner this evening for Mom's Birthday. The Tems came over, and Jared - its always great to be all together. It ended in arm wrestling, wish i'd thought to take pics from the beginning! Sorry! Here are a couple from the evening though!

Marek and Gemma get hitched!
One of my favourite friends got married a few weekends ago and it was an awesome wedding. She has so much style and so her wedding was bound to be something a little different with an eclectic touch - which it was! I love her so much and wish her and Marek everything of very best in the years to come. They have moved to a flat in Durban so I don't see her as often anymore, but cherish every moment we do get to spend together.
So i might have muddles the pictures up a little bit! This should have been at the end! But, this is Michelle, another of my favourite friends.
